Taken from Dawn Helene’s new treble setting of the Salutations to the Theotokos (Χαιρετισμοί, or Cheretismí), “O Champion General” is a graceful new English-language setting of “Τῇ ὑπερμάχῳ” (Ti Ipermáho) for a cappella SSA trio or choir.

It is excerpted from the larger Χαιρετισμοί service (including the odes and hymns) set for a cappella women’s trio, premiered at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, NYC, in March 2026.
